The company is working on a new BlazBlue game. Why should you care? Well this one will include Persona 4's protagonist, Yu Narukam, from the Persona 4 Arena fighting game in addition to a bunch of other characters.

Showing off in-game footage after the BlazBlue grand finals at this year’s Evo, Arc System Works revealed that the upcoming game will include fighters not just from Persona, but also RWBY and Under Night In-Birth as well.

It’s dramatic and chaotic, as you might expect from a BlazBlue game, but the combination of characters might be enough to draw in newcomers that the series proper has scared away all these years.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, which combines three fighting-game franchises — BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena and Under Night In-Birth — while giving RWBY its long-awaited fighting game debut, was announced today at Evo 2017. From the the trailer, it appears that BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle will feature a 2 vs. 2 tag system allowing players to choose two characters from each franchise. Outside of that, there aren’t many other details about the fighting game system, considering that each game feature has unique systems of their own. It’s unclear how Arc System Works will handle that mashup, but we’ll have more details soon.

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is scheduled to come to consoles some time in 2018.
